Yay for nocturnal people!!!

Ahem... Hi! I found your blog listed in Melissa's Dailies on GuitarAngel.net! After being pulled in by such a cute layout, welcome and recent blog, I decided to stick around and chat!

Yes, I too suffer from sometimes feeling like a zombie. I used to feel that way on a daily basis, but I suppose I've gotten used to it. Actually, once I started making my own schedule, (ie. not having to go to school every day), I was able to set myself a regular sleep pattern.... well regular to me! Going to sleep each night/morning between 3-5am and waking up around 11 or 12, 10 if I'm lucky.

However, on days that I actually have to function at the same time as the rest of the world, I end up having to go to sleep at around 11pm. Sometimes 12pm if I'm naughty. But really, your body needs to have a stable pattern so it can release the chemicals that make you sleepy when you need them, and the ones that wake you up also when you need them.

I hope you figure out what works best for you. I see someone suggested paying attention to what you eat. That is also wisdom to think about. I eat very healthily, so that probably helps. I know I read about it somewhere, perhaps in a magazine while waiting to pay for my groceries.

I wish I had some equally interesting news on my blog, but alas, I've not hat the self-discipline to get my blog back on it's feet. I haven't even made my first layout yet!! lol But feel free to check it out if you like.

I feel odd now. I actually prefer the mornings and can't sleep in, seriously. It's safe to say that I love uni and I'm mostly perky but feel so drained after the day.

It could to do with food (as mentioned), that's what I find helpful. Oh and drinks. I hope you find your solution soon.

Sometimes, I feel the same way. I go to school four days and a week and go to work twice a week, so I only have Sundays to rest. It's hard to cope, but it has started to become a routine for me. Sometimes, I crave not having to do anything. But when that happens, I find myself wondering why I ever wanted that in the first place. :D

I get that too. It usually leads off into me eating ridiculous amounts of junk food, forgetting to drink more than one glass of liquid a day and screwing everything up in general.

Good luck getting your energy back.

What kind of food do you eat? That can seriously affect energy levels.

I love my job but I share the same feeling about getting out of bed. It's that hour or so in the morning between waking up and actually doing my work that is so hard to deal with. I'm groggy, VERY grumpy (seriously) and can't talk to anyone. I hate mornings with a passion.

Yowza, a 45-minute walk?? I seriously feel like a pansy now, for sometimes not wanting to do the 10-minute walk that I have.

No, I usually only feel dead tired after I've stayed up till 4 a.m. and had to get up at 7 a.m., or situations like that. I often feel quite sluggish and sleepy as heck when I get out of bed after 6-7 hours of sleep, though, but it's not so bad that tea and a shower can't fix.
