The One and Only...
I am Tish; just another kooky fourteen year-old Kaiser Chiefs fan. Although you probably wont find "just another" anyone as strange as me. I reside in the northern outskirts of a place called Birmingham, in the little known (it sometimes seems) country of England. Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, is where I was born on the 1st of August, 1993.
What makes me so weird? Well, I don't even know what I'm doing that's so strange half the time, so I can't answer that with certainty. Everyone around me seems to think I am odd. I was born in Holland, but I speak Russian to people when the mood takes me. People seem to think that it's silly of me to dye my hair auburn since I am naturally blonde. I am ambidextrous, and purposely confuse people by changing hands when I'm writing. I play drums and guitar, but I've never had a single music lesson for either. I prefer doing things of my own accord over having someone telling me what to do. I took it upon myself to learn HTML and CSS when I was seven. The question I get asked most is why?Why not? My music taste is somewhat random, and I will listen to anything that makes me feel good. I absolutely adore the Kaiser Chiefs, and I know every lyric to every song on both of their albums, and their b-sides. I also listen to the band's previous incarnation, Parva. I'm quite possibly the most loyal and dedicated fan on earth (ha), and I'm in love with both the lead singer, Ricky, and the drummer, Nick. I could probably be spotted in the street simply by my "Yours Truly Angry Mob" t-shirt and constant humming of "I Predict a Riot". Some other things I listen to include music by Kasabian, Kate Nash, The Feeling, The Hoosiers, The Fratellis, Calvin Harris, CSS (what a coincidence) and a bunch of other stuff you can find on my Last.fm page. I am a huge comedy fan, and I watch so many different TV progams that I've lost track of them. I'm also one for documentaries, docu-dramas and sci-fi stuff. Some of my favourites include Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, House, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Panorama, Dispatches, Mock the Week, Extras, The Office, The Catherine Tate Show, Little Britain and The Friday Night Project. I am absolutely obsessed with Pirates of The Caribbean, and I'm constantly quoting Jack Sparrow. Being Leo, I am very egocentric and I don't like it when people tell me I am wrong. In my eyes, I am always right; although this leads to silly behaviour, such as arguing with someone over how old their sister is. My Leonine streak has also given me creativity. A lot of it. So much that I often think about things creatively instead of logically. In other words, I tend to think "outside of the box" too much, and I don't even realise it. I am very artistic, and I have a natural talent for anything that involves capturing light into some kind of tangible form. I go to a school where getting As and A*s is the norm, so it's pretty hard not to be considered average. However, I tend to get percentages around the 100% mark for Art and History, my two favourite subjects. My least favourite subject is probably ICT (computer-related stuff). You may find that strange, but all we really do is spew a load of drivel about spreadsheets and then hand it in. Due to my lack of enthusiasm for the subject and my disrespect for the IE users in the department, I tend to get low marks in the subject. One of my favourite pastimes at school is walking by the IT technicians' office with a large piece of paper saying "Firefox" on it. Or even shouting at the IT manager in the corridor. Either keeps me entertained in between lessons. I have an unhealthy obsession with Apple, pop art, anything retro, colours, 80's disco music, cats, and fish & chips. Procrastinating is what I do in my spare time, when I'm not eating, sleeping or at school. I tell myself I will get something done, but I never do. I often leave things to the last minute, especially if I have no interest in them. If I do have an interest in something, however, I do it to perfection. I put all of my effort into it and strive to perfect every detail. There are few things on this planet that interest me that much, but web-design is one of them.
